In 2006 we did a makeover of our back yard which included swimming pool repair and deck replacement, landscaping and a new Outdoor Environment deck the length of the house. Outdoor Environments did design work, helped us hire someone to manage the entire project and did the house deck construction including a pergola and hot tub enclosure. We were blown away by the design elements and craftsmanship of the job Outdoor Environments did for us. Our project won a REMY award and to this day we get compliments on the look, feel and quality of our back deck. They were recommended to us by a friend who used them and we in turn highly recommend Outdoor Environment.

The whole process was smooth and the final product was exactly what we wanted and what Dick had initially proposed in his renderings. We get countless comments on the beauty and quality of the work. Outdoor Environments created an absolutely wonderful addition to our living space in January 2009. We removed our deck and they designed a three season room with artful tongue and groove wood, tile floor, full view windows that can open and close and a wonderful extension as a deck. This room has become our true living space. We spent more time in it then we do anywhere else in the house. Their workmanship was impeccable and responsive. This was a major cost addition to our home but is has truly been well worth the investment. Thank you Dick.

We had our deck replaced. We had multiple bids and designs. We chose Outdoor Envirnoments as their design was by far the most unique and added the most interest to our home. It was not a cookie cutter deck. The cost was a little bit higher (not significantly) but it was well worth the extra cost for it's design and uniqueness. They were professional, friendly, and showed up when expected. The project was completed as scheduled. The original plan had to be modified due to the slope and grading in our yard. The original modification was not to our liking, but Dick worked to find different alternatives which we ended up extremely pleased with. Dick wanted to be sure we were 100% satisfied with the end result. The only unexpected was a small add on charge to replace the extreme wood rot found when the old deck was removed. We understood the need for the charge, but believed the bid to be all inclusive. We love our deck! I would highly recommend Outdoor environments. I without hesitation give Outdoor Envirnoments FIVE STARS.

I had Outdoor Environments tear off my old, rotting wood deck and construct a new, enclosed porch on my home. It blended in perfectly with my home and not an obvious addition, which was our goal. The crew was absolutely fantastic and the workmanship was so superb that virtually every person who has seen the porch has remarked about the quality. The important thing for me was the crew really helped me out since I have no construction experience. Whenever a question arose about lighting, outlets, windows, deck, etc., I asked for their recommendations and they helped me make the right decision. I would wholeheartedly recommend Outdoor Environments for any project.

We dealt directly with the Company President, Dick, throughout the entire life of the project -- from the initial design discussions to the final completion. We absolutely love the outcome. The deck, patio, and stonework are beautiful. Dick treated our project as if the work was for his own home -- meaning the attention to detail and quality workmanship were highly evident in all aspects of the project. His ability to provide us with a three-dimensional design was very helpful as we needed to break out project into two phases due to budget constraints. The design allowed us to see the end state very clearly and we appreciated his knowledge of the code as well as his input on how to accomplish the phasing. He assisted us in the selection of our materials and was very responsive to all our inquiries and suggestions. He kept us well informed on the timeline and scheduling of the various components. Based on our experience, I highly recommend Outdoor Environments. His pricing was very fair and I felt his services offered great value. Dick was absolutely fabulous to work with on this project. With Dick's vision, our backyard looks amazing after this transformation.

During the proposal phase, we worked closely with Dick Devuyst, the owner, to get ideas on how we wanted it to look. He spent the most time with us coming up with ideas based on his experience, showing us photos and creating 3D renderings. He made numerous changes before we settled on the final design. The project started with the tear down of the old structure. Then the footings had to be dug and concreted poured, underground drainage and then the deck structure was built using Azek planks and Aluminum powder coat railings. (We chose aluminum over the powder coated iron so we would not have to worry about rusting down the road) There were numerous rain delays hence why the project went from August until November. Under the deck we also had an enclosure built that looks like an extension to our house. It was important for it to look exactly like the house due to the restrictive covenants in place in our subdivision. In addition to the deck we also had a fire pit installed, which turned out great. Disk, the owner, kept us updated every step of the way. The estimate was close at the end, we made some changes to the original design but given the size of the project it was close. The Outdoor Environments team was not he cheapest, but they knew what they were doing I did not want to take a chance to have to redo the project again in a few years. Because it was late into the winter months when it completed we didn't get to enjoy our new space until the Spring. The deck is maintenance free, I have power washed it once and it looks great. We have two young children and they no longer have to worry about getting splinters from the wood deck. We are enjoying it every chance we get!

Searched Angie's list and located the business. Visited with the owner and set a time for him to examine the job and get an estimate. Dick showed up, provided the estimate and completed the work on time. The carpenter, Tom Korn, completed the job with quality craftsmanship. Both men were professional and we are extremely pleased with the outcome. Great experience.
